Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, find friends with similar interests and gain valuable experience. It is also super flexible and rewarding! More than anything, doing good things makes you feel pretty BRILLIANT!
How Can you Help?
- Hold a Food Drive! Make flyers and share with your neighborhood. Flyers should outline what food items are needed and where to bring the donations.
- At Your School! Talk to you school counselor or principal about holding a food drive at your school, or start a club dedicated to feeding our community.
- Plan a Fundraiser! Hold a fundraiser and donate the proceeds to the food bank impact.
Volunteer hours with HCFB meet most service requirements in Henrico County middle & high schools.

The Youth Corps Community Garden
Our Youth Corps plant, weed, harvest and cleanup our community garden. All fresh produce is packed and delivered to our clients during the Summer when the garden is active. If you would like to be part of the Community Garden let us know.
