HCFB is made possible by the generous support of our community. Consider making a monthly or annual commitment.
Our mobile distribution model means we are always in need of non perishable foods. Organize a community food drive!
Volunteer at an upcoming distribution or plan a fundraiser! Follow us on social media for information on upcoming opportunities.
Become and outreach ambassador and campaign for us, connect us to your alumni and professional work groups, call us for speaking engagements or start workspace giving.
During my first time helping HCFB, there were more than two hundred bags of food prepared in the gym. It was a prime example of how integral the service is to the community and I have been happy to help.
Usually, food distribution consists of canned goods, dry goods, frozen foods, bread/desserts, produce, etc. for anyone who shows up. HCFB targets particular groups to assist, they make it a point to know which community members may benefit from assistance.
At the end of the day, you have made a difference and the people are so appreciative.
Started by a group of Henrico County students, Tutor Tots is a non-profit organization that provides tutoring services to local students. They have tutored over 100 kids and helped them develop new skills and interests. Their mission is to help your children become inquirers and inspire them through the power of learning. This summer Tutor Tots made their organization a fundrasier by donating their proceeds to the Henrico Community Food Bank!
